Daphne Bradford is founder of 3Brains Innovation, a consulting and strategy company for organizations, educators, and the leaders of tomorrow to create and empower their own future in civic engagement, education, and social justice. Daphne provides S.T.E.A.M. education to underrepresented students and teacher professional development utilizing project-based learning, which resulted in the development of South Los Angeles’ first AP Computer Science pathway at Dorsey High School; securing the inclusion of Dorsey’s Math and Science Magnet Academy in the final 2015-2016 pilot year of the new AP Computer Science Principles course; and received Microsoft Showcase School partnership recognition.
Daphne has been nationally recognized by global technology companies as a 2007 Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE), a 2011 Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE), and a 2012 MIE Trainer. A proven leader in the field of educational technology, Daphne has been delivering innovative professional development training to Los Angeles Unified School District teachers to assist educators with integrating technology into the classroom curriculum to help improve student achievement. From teaching students how to publish digital books to designing their own apps, Daphne is dedicated to keeping students and teachers connected to education using any device necessary: laptops, smartphones and tablets. Ms. Bradford was honored by President Barack Obama as a White House Champion of Change, and by the Museum of Tolerance’s Freedom’s Sister.
